Welcome to the webpage of Local 3008 of the Michigan Professional Fire Fighter's Union which is affiliated with the International Association of Fire Fighters. Our union was chartered by the I.A.F.F. in September 1985 with 3 members. We have grown to a membership of 20, helping to meet the needs of a growing population.
We serve Pittsfield Township a community of approximately 34,000 residents with a coverage area of approximately 27.5 square miles(per the Township's Stats & Numbers page). Our daily staffing is 6 with a minimum of 4 covering 3 stations. Pittsfield Twp. is located just south of Ann Arbor in southeastern Michigan. It consists of commercial, residential, and rural areas.
