Welcome to the webpage of Local 3008 of the Michigan Professional Fire Fighter's Union which is affiliated with the International Association of Fire Fighters. Our union was chartered by the I.A.F.F. in September 1985 with 3 members. We have grown to a membership of 23, helping to meet the needs of a growing population.
We serve Pittsfield Township a community of approximately 35,000 residents with a coverage area of approximately 28 square miles(per the Township's Community Overview page). Our daily staffing is 6 covering 3 stations. Pittsfield Twp. is located just south of Ann Arbor in southeastern Michigan. It consists of commercial, residential, and rural areas.
